Crochet stitches, step by step
How to treble crochet
Treble crochet (tr) · Double treble (dtr) in UK patterns. Also called triple crochet
Treble crochet is double crochet with one more yarn over at the start, so it stands taller again and comes off the hook in three pairs of loops. It makes open, drapey fabric and the long stitches of lace.

Yarn over twice (3 loops on hook).
Insert the hook into the next stitch, under both loops.
Yarn over and draw up a loop (4 loops on hook).
Yarn over and draw through 2 loops (3 loops on hook).
Yarn over and draw through 2 loops (2 loops on hook).
Yarn over and draw through the last 2 loops (1 loop on hook).
One treble crochet made.

Treble crochet as code
Krowshea is a programming language for crochet. The ch 4 counts as the first treble, so each row is the ch 4 and 11 tr. Krowshea checked it, then wrote the pattern and drew the chart.
